Ingredients

  • Feta cheese - 200 grams
  • Almond flour - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon - 1 for zest and juice

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, crumble the feta cheese and add the almond flour, egg, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into small patties or squares, about 1 cm thick.
  4. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the cheese patties and fry until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Transfer the fried cheese to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes to fully warm through.
  6. Remove from the oven and drizzle with lemon juice and zest before serving.
