- Cornstarch - 50 grams

- Lemon - 1, cut into wedges
Steps
- Trim the artichokes by cutting off the top third and removing the tough outer leaves until you reach the tender inner leaves.
- Cut the artichokes in half lengthwise and scoop out the fuzzy choke with a spoon.
- Fill a pot with salted water and bring to a boil. Add the artichoke halves and blanch for about 5 minutes until slightly tender, then drain and let cool.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- Dredge each artichoke half in the flour mixture, ensuring they are well-coated.
- Carefully place the coated artichokes in the hot oil and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fried artichokes and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing.
