Ingredients

  • White fish fillets (e.g., cod or sea bass) - 300 grams
  • Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Capers - 2 tablespoons, rinsed and drained
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Rinse the fish fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Carefully place the fish fillets in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  4. Once the fish is cooked, add the capers and lemon juice to the skillet, gently stirring to coat the fish. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle the chopped parsley over the fish before serving.
  6. Serve the fish warm, drizzled with the pan sauce, alongside a fresh salad or roasted vegetables.
