Ingredients

  • White fish fillets (e.g., cod or tilapia) - 300 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic cloves - 2, minced
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Iceberg lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
  • Cucumber - 1 small, diced
  • Red onion - 1/4, thinly sliced
  • Fresh dill - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Feta cheese (optional, for non-strict Paleo) - 30 grams, crumbled

Steps

  1. In a medium bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Add the white fish fillets to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the marinated fish fillets and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  4. While the fish is cooking, prepare the toppings by combining cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and fresh dill in a bowl. Mix gently and set aside.
  5. Once the fish is cooked, remove it from the heat and let it rest for a minute. Then, flake the fish into bite-sized pieces.
  6. To assemble the tacos, take a large lettuce leaf, add a portion of the flaked fish, and top with the tomato-cucumber mixture. If desired, sprinkle with crumbled feta cheese.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your Paleo Greek Seafood Fish Tacos.
