- All-purpose flour - 100 grams
- Ground walnuts - 50 grams
- Ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Unsalted butter - 50 grams, softened
- Granulated sugar - 50 grams
- Honey - 60 ml
- Orange zest - 1 teaspoon
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Powdered sugar - for dusting
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, ground walnuts, ground cinnamon, and baking powder. Mix well.
- In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the honey, orange zest, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.
- Shape the dough into small balls (about 2.5 cm in diameter) and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 5 cm apart.
- Flatten each ball slightly with the palm of your hand.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until they are lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack.
- Once cooled, dust the cookies with powdered sugar before serving.
