Ingredients
- Ground beef (80% lean) - 400 grams
- Feta cheese, crumbled - 100 grams
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh spinach leaves - 50 grams
- Kalamata olives, pitted and chopped - 30 grams
- Cucumber, sliced - 50 grams
- Lettuce leaves - 2 large
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Divide the beef mixture into four equal portions. Flatten each portion into a patty and place about 25 grams of crumbled feta cheese in the center of two patties.
- Cover the cheese with the remaining two patties and seal the edges tightly to form feta-stuffed burgers.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burgers for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- In the last minute of cooking, add spinach leaves on top of the burgers to wilt them slightly.
- Remove the burgers from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Serve the burgers wrapped in lettuce leaves, topped with sliced cucumbers and chopped kalamata olives.
