Ingredients

  • Ground beef (80% lean) - 400 grams
  • Feta cheese, crumbled - 100 grams
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh spinach leaves - 50 grams
  • Kalamata olives, pitted and chopped - 30 grams
  • Cucumber, sliced - 50 grams
  • Lettuce leaves - 2 large

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Divide the beef mixture into four equal portions. Flatten each portion into a patty and place about 25 grams of crumbled feta cheese in the center of two patties.
  3. Cover the cheese with the remaining two patties and seal the edges tightly to form feta-stuffed burgers.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burgers for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  5. In the last minute of cooking, add spinach leaves on top of the burgers to wilt them slightly.
  6. Remove the burgers from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
  7. Serve the burgers wrapped in lettuce leaves, topped with sliced cucumbers and chopped kalamata olives.
