  • Ground turkey - 250 grams
  • Fresh spinach - 100 grams, chopped
  • Feta cheese - 75 grams, crumbled
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Red onion - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon, dried
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Whole wheat burger buns - 2
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1/2, sliced
  • Tzatziki sauce - 4 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, chopped spinach, crumbled feta cheese, minced garlic, finely chopped red onion, olive oil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form each into a patty.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).
  4. While the patties are cooking, toast the whole wheat burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun, topped with sliced tomato and cucumber, and drizzled with tzatziki sauce.
