- Feta cheese - 75 grams, crumbled
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Red onion - 50 grams, finely chopped
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Oregano - 1 teaspoon, dried
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Whole wheat burger buns - 2
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Cucumber - 1/2, sliced
- Tzatziki sauce - 4 tablespoons
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, chopped spinach, crumbled feta cheese, minced garlic, finely chopped red onion, olive oil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form each into a patty.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).
- While the patties are cooking, toast the whole wheat burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.
