Ingredients

  • Feta cheese - 150 grams
  • Cream cheese - 50 grams
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • All-purpose flour - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1, beaten
  • Panko breadcrumbs - 100 grams
  • Olive oil - for frying

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the feta cheese, cream cheese, chopped parsley, dried oregano, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until well combined and creamy.
  2. Using your hands, form the cheese mixture into small balls, about 2.5 cm in diameter.
  3. Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with the beaten egg, and one with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Roll each cheese ball in the flour, then dip it into the beaten egg, and finally coat it with panko breadcrumbs. Ensure each ball is fully covered.
  5. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the cheese balls in batches, frying until golden brown on all sides, about 4-5 minutes.
  6. Remove the balls and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil. Serve warm.
