- Feta cheese - 150 grams
- Rice flour - 50 grams
- Cornstarch - 30 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - for frying
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, crumble the feta cheese and add the chopped parsley, dill, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix well until combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine the rice flour and cornstarch.
- Add the egg to the feta mixture and stir until smooth.
- Gradually add the rice flour mixture to the feta mixture, stirring until a thick batter forms.
- Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Using a tablespoon, scoop the batter and form small bite-sized balls. Carefully place them in the hot oil.
- Fry the bites for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the bites from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve warm with a side of tzatziki sauce or fresh lemon wedges.
