Ingredients

  • Feta cheese - 150 grams
  • Rice flour - 50 grams
  • Cornstarch - 30 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - for frying

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, crumble the feta cheese and add the chopped parsley, dill, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix well until combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the rice flour and cornstarch.
  3. Add the egg to the feta mixture and stir until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the rice flour mixture to the feta mixture, stirring until a thick batter forms.
  5. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Using a tablespoon, scoop the batter and form small bite-sized balls. Carefully place them in the hot oil.
  7. Fry the bites for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove the bites from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  9. Serve warm with a side of tzatziki sauce or fresh lemon wedges.
