Ingredients
- Ground beef - 300 grams
- Feta cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Burger buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Cucumber - 1/2, sliced
- Tzatziki sauce - 100 grams
Steps
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, crumbled feta cheese, minced garlic, chopped red onion, parsley, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger buns by toasting them lightly in a separate pan or toaster until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cooked feta beef patty, sliced tomato, sliced cucumber, and a generous dollop of tzatziki sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately with your choice of side.
