Ingredients

  • Fresh spinach - 100 grams
  • Feta cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
  • Large eggs - 4
  • Heavy cream - 100 ml
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Nutmeg - a pinch

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the fresh spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg until well combined.
  5. Stir in the sautéed spinach mixture and crumbled feta cheese until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased 9-inch (23 cm) pie dish or quiche pan.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the quiche is set and lightly golden on top.
