Ingredients

  • Ground turkey - 250 grams
  • Fresh spinach - 100 grams, chopped
  • Feta cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Red onion - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Bread crumbs - 40 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon, dried
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Whole wheat burger buns - 2
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1/2, sliced
  • Lettuce leaves - 2

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, chopped spinach, crumbled feta, minced garlic, chopped red onion, egg, bread crumbs, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger buns by lightly toasting them in another skillet or in a toaster.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun, topping with sliced tomato, cucumber, and a lettuce leaf.
