- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
Steps
- In a bowl, mix warm water and active dry yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, salt, black pepper, and dried oregano.
- Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Incorporate the crumbled feta cheese and chopped olives into the dough, kneading gently to distribute.
- Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a lightly oiled bowl, covering it with a damp cloth. Let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- After the dough has risen, punch it down and shape it into a loaf or round shape.
- Place the shaped dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let it rest for another 10 minutes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
