- Romaine lettuce - 100 grams, chopped
- Cucumber - 1 medium, diced
- Cherry tomatoes - 200 grams, halved
- Radishes - 4, thinly sliced
- Bell pepper (red or yellow) - 1, diced
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Fresh parsley - 30 grams, chopped
- Fresh mint - 15 grams, chopped
- Pita bread - 1 large, cut into triangles
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Sumac - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Place the pita bread triangles on a baking sheet and drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, then sprinkle with a pinch of salt. Bake for 5-7 minutes or until golden and crispy.
- In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, diced cucumber, halved cherry tomatoes, sliced radishes, diced bell pepper, chopped green onions, parsley, and mint.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil, lemon juice, sumac, salt, and black pepper to create the dressing.
- Once the pita chips are ready, let them cool slightly before adding them to the salad bowl.
- Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine. Serve immediately.
