- Canned white beans - 240 grams, drained and rinsed
- Ground turkey - 250 grams
- Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh parsley - 30 grams, chopped
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the drained white beans, ground turkey, chopped red onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, olive oil, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
- Mash the mixture slightly with a fork to combine but leave some texture from the beans.
- Form the mixture into two patties and place them on a plate.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of olive oil.
- Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are fully cooked and golden brown.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the toppings by slicing the tomato and washing the lettuce leaves.
