- Ground lamb - 250 grams
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Oregano - 1 teaspoon, dried
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Dakos (barley rusks) - 2 pieces
- Tomato - 1 medium, diced
- Cucumber - 1/2 medium, diced
- Red onion - 1/4 medium, thinly sliced
- Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground lamb, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and form into two patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the lamb patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 70°C.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the topping by mixing diced tomato, cucumber, red onion, feta cheese, parsley, and lemon juice in a separate bowl.
- Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- To serve, place each lamb patty on a piece of Dakos, then generously top with the prepared vegetable mixture.
