Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 250 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon, dried
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Dakos (barley rusks) - 2 pieces
  • Tomato - 1 medium, diced
  • Cucumber - 1/2 medium, diced
  • Red onion - 1/4 medium, thinly sliced
  • Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground lamb, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and form into two patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the lamb patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 70°C.
  3. While the patties are cooking, prepare the topping by mixing diced tomato, cucumber, red onion, feta cheese, parsley, and lemon juice in a separate bowl.
  4. Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  5. To serve, place each lamb patty on a piece of Dakos, then generously top with the prepared vegetable mixture.
