Ingredients

  • Cuttlefish - 300 grams, cleaned and cut into rings
  • Fresh spinach - 200 grams, washed and roughly chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the cuttlefish rings to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they turn opaque and are cooked through.
  4. Season the cuttlefish with salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. Add the chopped spinach to the skillet, and cook for another 3-5 minutes until the spinach wilts down.
  6. Drizzle the lemon juice over the dish and stir well to combine.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
