Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 400 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lettuce leaves (for wrapping) - 4 large leaves
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1/2 medium, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/4 small, thinly sliced
  • Tzatziki sauce - 100 grams

Steps

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground lamb, minced garlic, dried oregano, ground cumin, salt, black pepper, and crumbled feta cheese. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 2 equal-sized patties, ensuring they are compact.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the lamb patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 70°C.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the toppings by slicing the tomato, cucumber, and red onion.
  5. Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  6. To serve, take a large lettuce leaf, place a lamb patty inside, and top with slices of tomato, cucumber, red onion, and a generous dollop of tzatziki sauce. Wrap the lettuce around the filling and enjoy!
