Steps

  1. Rinse the clams under cold water to remove any sand or debris and set aside.
  2. In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer.
  5. Add the clams to the pan, cover with a lid, and cook for about 5-7 minutes until the clams open up.
  6. Discard any clams that do not open.
  7. Stir in the lemon juice, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper to taste.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
