Ingredients

  • Halal ground beef - 250 grams
  • Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
  • Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
  • Cucumber - 1 small, diced
  • Red onion - 1 small, thinly sliced
  • Kalamata olives - 50 grams, pitted and chopped
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Pita bread - 2 pieces
  • Tzatziki sauce - 100 grams

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, crumbled feta cheese, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and form into two patties.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
  3. While the patties are cooking, prepare the salad by mixing cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and Kalamata olives in a bowl. Drizzle with the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Warm the pita bread in a dry skillet or microwave for a few seconds until soft.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a cooked patty on each pita, topping with the fresh salad mixture, and adding a generous dollop of tzatziki sauce.
