- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Wooden skewers - 4 (soaked in water for 30 minutes)
- Cucumber - 100 grams (for tzatziki)
- Greek yogurt - 150 grams (for tzatziki)
- Dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped (for tzatziki)
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced (for tzatziki)
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon (for tzatziki)
- Olive oil - 1 teaspoon (for tzatziki)
Steps
- Cut the chicken breast into 2.5 cm cubes and place them in a mixing bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Pour the marinade over the chicken cubes, mix well, and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
- While the chicken is marinating, prepare the tzatziki sauce. Grate the cucumber and squeeze out excess water.
- In a bowl, combine the grated cucumber, Greek yogurt, dill, minced garlic, salt, and olive oil. Mix well and refrigerate until serving.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated chicken onto the soaked wooden skewers.
- Grill the chicken skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
- Serve the chicken souvlaki hot with the tzatziki sauce on the side.
