Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 300 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried thyme - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cabbage leaves - 4 large
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Tomato - 1 medium, diced
  • Cucumber - 1 small, diced
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, minced garlic, chopped onion, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the cabbage slaw. In a separate bowl, combine the diced tomato, cucumber, chopped parsley, lemon juice, and remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Mix well.
  5. Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
  6. To serve, place each beef patty on a cabbage leaf, top with the slaw mixture, and wrap the cabbage around the filling like a burger.
