- Phyllo pastry sheets - 4 sheets
- Feta cheese - 100 grams, crumbled
- Ricotta cheese - 100 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Fresh dill - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for topping)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine crumbled feta cheese, ricotta cheese, egg, chopped dill, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Take one sheet of phyllo pastry and brush it lightly with olive oil. Place a second sheet on top and brush it with olive oil as well.
- Spoon a portion of the cheese mixture along one edge of the phyllo, forming a line. Fold the sides of the phyllo over the filling and roll it up tightly to form a log.
- Repeat the process with the remaining phyllo sheets and cheese mixture.
- Place the rolled bougatsa on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with olive oil and sprinkle sesame seeds over them.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving warm.
