- Ground beef (80% lean) - 300 grams
- Ground pork - 100 grams
- Red onion, finely chopped - 50 grams
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh mint, chopped - 1 tablespoon
- Oregano, dried - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Feta cheese, crumbled - 50 grams
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Burger buns - 2
- Tomato slices - 1 medium
- Cucumber slices - 1/2 medium
- Tzatziki sauce - 100 grams
Steps
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, chopped red onion, minced garlic, parsley, mint, oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Gently fold in the crumbled feta cheese to the meat mixture, being careful not to overmix.
- Divide the mixture into 2 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 2.5 cm thick.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and brush with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Grill the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 70°C and are nicely browned.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare your burger buns by toasting them lightly on the grill for about 1-2 minutes.
- Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun, topped with tomato slices, cucumber slices, and a generous dollop of tzatziki sauce.
