- Ground beef (80% lean) - 300 grams
- Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Fresh mint - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Oregano - 1 teaspoon, dried
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
- Avocado - 1 small, sliced
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped red onion, minced garlic, parsley, mint, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
- Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the lettuce leaves, tomato slices, cucumber slices, and avocado slices for serving.
- Once cooked, remove the burgers from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- To assemble, place each burger patty on a lettuce leaf, top with tomato, cucumber, and avocado slices, then wrap and enjoy!
