Ingredients

  • Ground beef (80% lean) - 300 grams
  • Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Fresh mint - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon, dried
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1 small, sliced
  • Avocado - 1 small, sliced

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped red onion, minced garlic, parsley, mint, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
  2. Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the lettuce leaves, tomato slices, cucumber slices, and avocado slices for serving.
  5. Once cooked, remove the burgers from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  6. To assemble, place each burger patty on a lettuce leaf, top with tomato, cucumber, and avocado slices, then wrap and enjoy!
