Ingredients

  • Feta cheese - 200 grams
  • Cherry tomatoes - 250 grams
  • Extra virgin olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh basil - a handful, for garnish
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a baking dish, combine the cherry tomatoes, minced garlic, olive oil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the tomatoes are well coated.
  3. Place the feta cheese block in the center of the tomatoes.
  4. Drizzle a little more olive oil over the feta cheese and season with additional salt and pepper.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the tomatoes are bursting and the feta is soft and slightly golden.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
