- canned coconut milk - 200 ml
- unsweetened almond milk - 100 ml
- cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
- maple syrup - 3 tablespoons
- vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon (for color)
- sugar - 2 tablespoons (for topping)
- fresh berries - 100 grams (for garnish, optional)
Steps
- In a saucepan, combine the canned coconut milk, almond milk, cornstarch, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and turmeric powder.
- Whisk the mixture over medium heat until it thickens, approximately 5-7 minutes.
- Once thickened, remove from heat and pour the mixture into two ramekins.
- Let the ramekins cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
- Preheat your oven broiler.
- Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of sugar evenly over the top of each set crème brûlée.
- Place the ramekins under the broiler for about 2-4 minutes, watching closely until the sugar caramelizes and forms a crust.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
