  • Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
  • Red onion - 50 grams, thinly sliced
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh thyme - 1 teaspoon, chopped
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat the grill or a skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, combine the Toulouse sausage with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and form two patties.
  3. Cook the sausage patties on the grill or skillet for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through and browned.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the salad by tossing the cherry tomatoes, red onion, and fresh thyme in a bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a minute.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing each sausage patty on a large Romaine lettuce leaf, topping with the salad mixture, and folding the lettuce over to create a burger.
