- Baguette - 1 small (about 200g)
- Ripe tomatoes - 200g, diced
- Fresh basil leaves - 10g, chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Extra virgin olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Balsamic vinegar - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Preheat your barbecue grill to medium heat.
- Slice the baguette into 1.5 cm thick slices and brush one side lightly with olive oil.
- Place the oiled side of the baguette slices on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped basil, minced garlic, balsamic vinegar, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Once the bread is grilled, remove it from the grill and place it on a serving platter, grilled side up.
