  • Whole grain bread - 4 slices

  • Goat cheese - 50 grams
  • Fresh basil - 10 grams (chopped)
  • Fresh chives - 10 grams (chopped)
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Salt - to taste
  • Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams (halved)

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Place the slices of whole grain bread on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil on both sides.
  3. Toast the bread in the oven for about 5 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, goat cheese, chopped basil, and chives until well combined.
  5. Remove the toasted bread from the oven and spread the cheese mixture evenly on each slice.
  6. Top the cheese spread with halved cherry tomatoes and sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste.
  7. Return the tartines to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the cheese is slightly melted and the tomatoes are warm.
