- Baguette - 1 small (about 200g)
- Black olives (pitted) - 100g
- Green olives (pitted) - 50g
- Capers - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Slice the baguette into 4 pieces, each about 5 cm wide, and place them on a baking sheet.
- Toast the baguette slices in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are lightly golden and crispy.
- While the bread is toasting, prepare the tapenade by placing the black olives, green olives, capers, garlic, parsley, lemon juice, and olive oil in a food processor.
- Blend the ingredients until you achieve a smooth yet slightly chunky paste. If needed, add a little more olive oil for desired consistency.
- Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly.
- Spread a generous amount of the tapenade on each toasted baguette slice.
- Finish with a sprinkle of black pepper to taste and serve immediately.
