Ingredients

  • Baguette - 1 (about 200g)
  • Smoked salmon - 100g
  • Cream cheese - 50g
  • Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Capers - 1 tablespoon, rinsed and drained
  • Cucumber - 1/2, thinly sliced
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Slice the baguette into 4 equal pieces, each about 5cm thick.
  3. Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, until golden and crisp.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, chopped dill, lemon juice, and black pepper, stirring until well blended.
  5. Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture on each toasted baguette slice.
  6. Top each slice with smoked salmon, a few capers, and cucumber slices.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with additional dill if desired.
