Steps
- Trim the leeks, slice them in half lengthwise, and rinse thoroughly under cold water to remove any grit. Slice the leeks into thin half-moons.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the sliced leeks to the skillet and season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the leeks are soft and slightly caramelized.
- Stir in the chopped thyme and cook for an additional 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Meanwhile, toast the baguette slices in a toaster or under a broiler until golden brown.
