- Potatoes - 400 grams, thinly sliced
- White fish fillets (such as cod or haddock) - 200 grams, cut into bite-sized pieces
- Reblochon cheese - 150 grams, sliced
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Heavy cream - 200 ml
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion becomes translucent.
- Add the sliced potatoes to the skillet, season with salt and black pepper, and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until they begin to soften.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the potato mixture at the bottom. Then add the fish pieces evenly over the potatoes.
- Pour half of the heavy cream over the fish, then layer the remaining potato mixture on top.
- Finish by pouring the rest of the cream over the potatoes and topping with the slices of Reblochon cheese.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Once done, let it cool for a few minutes, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve warm.
