- Potatoes - 400 grams, peeled and thinly sliced
- Smoked salmon - 100 grams, sliced
- Shrimp - 100 grams, peeled and deveined
- Crème fraîche - 200 grams
- Gruyère cheese - 150 grams, grated
- Shallot - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped shallot and minced garlic, sautéing until translucent.
- Add the sliced potatoes to the skillet, stirring to coat with the oil and cook for about 5 minutes, until slightly softened.
- In a bowl, mix the crème fraîche with salt, black pepper, and chopped dill.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the potato mixture, followed by the smoked salmon and shrimp. Pour half of the crème fraîche mixture over this layer.
- Add the remaining potatoes on top, followed by the rest of the crème fraîche mixture. Finally, sprinkle the grated Gruyère cheese evenly over the top.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Let it sit for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with extra dill if desired.
