Ingredients
- Potatoes - 300 grams
- Low-fat crème fraîche - 100 grams
- Reblochon cheese - 100 grams
- Bacon (lean) - 50 grams
- Onion - 1 medium (about 100 grams)
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Fresh chives - for garnish
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds, then boil them in salted water for about 10 minutes until just tender. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and chopped bacon to the skillet and cook until bacon is crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a large baking dish, layer half of the potatoes, then add the bacon and onion mixture evenly over the top.
- Spread half of the crème fraîche over the bacon and onion mixture, followed by half of the Reblochon cheese cut into slices.
- Repeat with the remaining potatoes, crème fraîche, and cheese, seasoning each layer with salt and black pepper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped fresh chives before serving.
