Ingredients
- Pâte brisée (shortcrust pastry) - 150g
- Ground almonds - 100g
- Sugar - 75g
- Butter (unsalted, melted) - 50g
- Eggs - 2 large
- Almond extract - 1 tsp
- Milk - 2 tbsp
- Sliced almonds - 20g
- Powdered sugar (for dusting) - 1 tbsp
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Roll out the pâte brisée and fit it into a 20cm tart pan, trimming the excess pastry.
- Prick the bottom of the pastry with a fork and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground almonds, sugar, melted butter, eggs, almond extract, and milk, and mix until smooth.
- Pour the almond filling into the chilled tart shell, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle sliced almonds on top of the filling.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the tart is golden brown and set in the center.
- Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar and serving.
