- Ricotta cheese - 200 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Grated Parmesan cheese - 50 grams
- Fresh basil - 10 grams, chopped
- Black pepper - to taste
- Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and salt, then mix in the olive oil and water until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, egg, grated Parmesan, chopped basil, and black pepper until well combined.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a circle approximately 30 cm in diameter.
- Transfer the dough to a parchment-lined baking sheet and spread the cheese mixture evenly over the base.
- Arrange the halved cherry tomatoes on top of the cheese mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is set.
- Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm.
