- Shallot - 1 small, finely chopped
- Capers - 1 tablespoon, rinsed and chopped
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
- Fresh chives - 1 tablespoon, finely chopped
- Sea salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Avocado - 1 small, diced (for serving)
- Microgreens (optional) - for garnish
Steps
- Start by finely dicing the fresh fish into small cubes and place them in a mixing bowl.
- Add the lemon juice, olive oil, chopped shallot, capers, parsley, and chives to the bowl with the fish.
- Season with sea salt and black pepper to taste, then gently mix everything together until well combined.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- To serve, place a small ring mold or a serving ring on a plate and fill it with the fish tartare mixture, pressing down gently.
- Remove the ring mold carefully and garnish with diced avocado and microgreens if using.
- Enjoy immediately as a fresh and light seafood starter.
