- Celery - 1 stalk, diced
- Onion - 1 medium, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Dried thyme - 1 teaspoon
- Bay leaf - 1
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Fresh parsley - for garnish
Steps
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, carrot, and celery, and sauté until the vegetables are softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
