Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 250 grams
  • Grated Beaufort cheese - 80 grams
  • Whole grain burger buns - 2
  • Fresh basil - 10 grams
  • Fresh thyme - 5 grams
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Mixed vegetables (zucchini, bell pepper, and carrots) - 200 grams

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, minced garlic, chopped basil, chopped thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.
  4. During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with grated Beaufort cheese and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
  5. While the patties are cooking, slice the mixed vegetables and sauté them in a separate pan with a little olive oil until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Toast the whole grain buns on a skillet or in a toaster until golden brown.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun and topping with the sautéed vegetables. Serve immediately.
