- Ground beef - 250 grams
- Grated Beaufort cheese - 80 grams
- Whole grain burger buns - 2
- Fresh basil - 10 grams
- Fresh thyme - 5 grams
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Mixed vegetables (zucchini, bell pepper, and carrots) - 200 grams
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, minced garlic, chopped basil, chopped thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with grated Beaufort cheese and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
- While the patties are cooking, slice the mixed vegetables and sauté them in a separate pan with a little olive oil until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Toast the whole grain buns on a skillet or in a toaster until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun and topping with the sautéed vegetables. Serve immediately.
