Ingredients

  • Fresh sardines - 4 (about 250g each)
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Lemon - 1, juiced
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Clean the sardines by removing the scales and guts, then rinse them under cold water.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, chopped parsley, salt, black pepper, and paprika to create a marinade.
  4. Place the cleaned sardines in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for about 10 minutes.
  5. Once the grill is hot, place the sardines directly on the grill grate. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
  6. Remove the sardines from the grill and transfer them to a serving platter. Drizzle with any remaining marinade and serve immediately.
