Ingredients

  • smoked salmon - 100 grams
  • fresh salmon fillet - 100 grams
  • cream cheese - 100 grams
  • butter - 30 grams
  • lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • fresh dill - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • capers - 1 tablespoon, rinsed and chopped
  • black pepper - to taste
  • salt - to taste

Steps

  1. In a small saucepan, cook the fresh salmon fillet in simmering water for about 10-12 minutes until fully cooked. Remove and let it cool.
  2. Once cooled, flake the cooked salmon into a bowl.
  3. Add the smoked salmon, cream cheese, butter, lemon juice, dill, capers, salt, and black pepper to the bowl.
  4. Using a fork, mix the ingredients until well combined, but leave some texture.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary.
  6. Transfer the rillettes into a serving dish, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld.
  7. Serve chilled with crusty bread or fresh vegetables.
