- Honey - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Walnuts - 30 grams, roughly chopped
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Slice the baguette into 1 cm thick slices and arrange them on a baking sheet.
- Drizzle olive oil over the baguette slices and bake for about 5-7 minutes until golden and crisp.
- While the bread is toasting, prepare the salad by combining the mixed greens, walnuts, and minced garlic in a large bowl.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, salt, and black pepper to create the vinaigrette.
- Once the baguette slices are toasted, place the goat cheese on top of each slice and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is warm and slightly melted.
- Drizzle the vinaigrette over the salad and toss gently to coat.
- Divide the salad onto two plates and top with the warm goat cheese toasts.
