  • Bay leaf - 1
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped

Steps

  1. Rinse the green lentils under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped shallot and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
