Ingredients
- 200g ground beef (80% lean)
- 100g raclette cheese, sliced
- 2 whole wheat burger buns
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 50g baby spinach
- Salt and pepper to taste
Steps
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté the sliced onion until caramelized, about 8-10 minutes. Set aside.
- In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then form into two equal patties.
- In the same skillet, cook the beef patties over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, place the sliced raclette cheese on top of each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
- While the cheese is melting, toast the whole wheat burger buns in a separate pan or toaster until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading Dijon mustard on the bottom bun, adding a layer of baby spinach, placing the cheese-topped patty on top, and finishing with the caramelized onions. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately with a side of your choice.
