- Fresh thyme - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Fresh rosemary - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- French baguette or burger buns - 2
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Lettuce - 2 leaves
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon
- Capers - 1 tablespoon, chopped
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped thyme, rosemary, parsley, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined and form into two patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the garlic aioli by mixing mayonnaise, lemon juice, and chopped capers in a small bowl.
- Toast the French baguette or burger buns in the oven or on a grill until golden and crispy.
- Once cooked, let the burgers rest for a couple of minutes before assembling.
- Spread the garlic aioli on the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, then the burger patty, followed by a slice of tomato. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
