  • Fresh thyme - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Fresh rosemary - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • French baguette or burger buns - 2
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Lettuce - 2 leaves
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon
  • Capers - 1 tablespoon, chopped

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped thyme, rosemary, parsley, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined and form into two patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.
  3. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the garlic aioli by mixing mayonnaise, lemon juice, and chopped capers in a small bowl.
  4. Toast the French baguette or burger buns in the oven or on a grill until golden and crispy.
  5. Once cooked, let the burgers rest for a couple of minutes before assembling.
  6. Spread the garlic aioli on the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, then the burger patty, followed by a slice of tomato. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
