Ingredients
- Poularde (young chicken) - 1 kg
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Fresh thyme - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Fresh rosemary - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Lemon - 1, juiced and zested
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Honey - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- Preheat your BBQ grill to medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, chopped thyme, chopped rosemary, lemon juice and zest, salt, black pepper, paprika, and honey to create a marinade.
- Rub the marinade all over the poularde, ensuring it's well coated inside and out. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for deeper flavor.
- Once marinated, place the poularde on the grill and cook for about 60 minutes, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking and to achieve a golden-brown color.
- Check the internal temperature of the chicken; it should reach 75°C (165°F) for safe consumption.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for 10 minutes before carving. Serve warm with your choice of grilled vegetables.
