- Poularde de Bresse - 1 kg
- Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
- Fresh thyme - 2 sprigs
- Fresh rosemary - 2 sprigs
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Lemon - 1, juiced and zested
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Preheat your BBQ grill to medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, honey, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- Place the Poularde de Bresse in a large bowl or a resealable bag and pour the marinade over it, ensuring it's well coated. Add the thyme and rosemary sprigs. Marinate for at least 30 minutes in the fridge.
- Remove the Poularde from the marinade and let it come to room temperature for about 10 minutes.
- Place the Poularde on the grill, breast side down, and cook for about 20-25 minutes.
- Flip the Poularde and continue grilling for another 20-25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
- Let the Poularde rest for 10 minutes before carving and serving.
