Steps
- In a small bowl, dissolve the active dry yeast in warm water and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt, then make a well in the center.
- Pour the yeast mixture and olive oil into the well, and mix until a rough dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 250°C (482°F).
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
